Bill Mitchell has dedicated over 40 years to supporting underserved youth through education and athletics. For 16 years, he worked with The Boys’ Club of New York (BCNY), where he helped place more than 1,000 students in independent schools and guided hundreds through college counseling. As Head Coach of BCNY’s Academic All-Star Baseball Program, funded by Major League Baseball’s Tomorrow Fund, every student-athlete he mentored went on to college, with several reaching the NFL, NBA, or MLB.
Before BCNY, Bill spent 19 years at the Henry Street Settlement as Director of Youth Development, led programs for the Harlem Educational Activities Fund, and coached with the Bonnies Baseball Organization. Outside of youth work, he co-founded and served as Artistic Director of The Working Theater, now celebrating its 36th season.
360 Academic Sports Academy transforms the lives of underprivileged students in the NYC area through a combination of academic support and sports training. Participation is critical for these students-athletes and your donation makes that possible.
