Peter Buckley is a financial industry executive with deep experience in asset management, trading, clearing, and fintech innovation. He has built and led high-performing teams across global markets, helping launch and grow several transformative companies. As Co-Head of Global New Business at ICAP plc, he helped expand the BrokerTec bond trading platform from its early stages. He later joined Tower Research Capital, where he developed a global trading business and founded its UK affiliate, Spire Europe Ltd, leading its expansion across Europe and Asia-Pacific.
Peter also served as Senior Managing Director and Head of Clearing at Newedge USA, where he sat on the firm’s Executive Committee. More recently, he has focused on fintech and emerging market opportunities—serving as Head of New Business at OpenYield, CEO of Pat Inc., and developer of Funding University, a student loan platform backed by Amazon Ventures.
A graduate of Lehigh University and The Lawrenceville School, Peter currently serves as Board Director and Finance Director for 360 Academic Sports Academy and the Youth Service League, organizations dedicated to helping underserved student-athletes earn scholarships to top schools and colleges.
